Louise Mcmullan
Sounds-Write Phonics Louise has almost 30 years experience teaching reading and spelling to children, teenagers and adults. She has been a devotee of 'lingustic phonics' for 20 years and a Sounds-Write teacher/trainer for the past 10 years.
About this speaker
Louise has a degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool. She qualified as a primary teacher in 1993 and has taught every age group in primary education. She trained in Sounds-Write in 2010 and has taught Sounds-Write as whole class, 1:1 and small groups for literacy intervention. As a Sounds-Write trainer, she has trained over 2000 teachers to understand and use the Sounds-Write programme to teach all children to read and spell. This summer (2021) she will retire from her 2 days a week in the classroom and devote her time to training Sounds-Write full-time. She has 3 teenage daughters and a patient, caring husband!!
